Jacuzzi
a little bit of water got in to my hot tub and it froze (the hot tub is located out doors). What should I do about this – should I just turn it on, should I add water and turn it on??

do not turn it on !!!!!
the water jets will burn up , id say leave it alone and allow the ice to melt on it own !

turn it on.
it will heat up the water and melt it and it should be back to normal.

open up your drain valves and allow it to thaw whenever it gets a chance, do NOT turn it on with frozen water. Dont try to put hot water in it either because if your pipes dont crack, your seals will.
the best thing to do now is to let it drain as it melts- and hope it hasnt already been ruined.
You can leave it on once you refill it and let the heater keep the water from freezing, but expect a big electric bill.
If it is just a little bit of ice from water that leaked into it, I wouldnt worry about it, just open up the drain valve- if you wanna use it and there is just a LITTLE bit of water frozen in it, you could put more water in it even warm water to melt it, but dont turn it on until it is melted. If you want to leave the water in it, after using it, leave the heater on- if you dont want to run the heater, then drain it all out, and leave the drain open so that any water getting in will drain out.
