What are the benefits of using a sauna?
I heard that using a sauna on a regular would help keep the weight off? Does it also clean your skin, too?

I walk 5 kms every day and on days that I cant walk I do other excercises like say treadmill, gym etc. I have heard that sauna bath is good for health especially if it is taken after excercise. Can I construct one such bath in my backyard? How to do so? or Can I purchase one rewady made. I live in a somewhat remote location in North East India.
When you’re in a sauna; you burn calories aswell don’t you?
I am looking at installing either a sauna or steamroom in my home but finding it a difficult decision which way to go so was wondering if the two could somehow be combined. I understand a sauna is a dry heat with timber internals whilst a steamroom is a moist heat with tiled internals. This would suggest both different heating methods and internals would be required so would appear to be difficult to achieve.
I’ve heard that it’s not safe for a pregnant women to use a sauna but a hot tub might help soothe her. What would be the difference if you are still dealing with excessive heat?
I heard that if you sit in a sauna for 15 minutes you burn the same amount of calories as if you were to do cardio for 15 minutes. Is that true?
I’ve never tried the sauna at 24 Hour Fitness, and I was wondering what people usually wear. I don’t know much of sauna etiquette.
Ever since college when I’d go sit in the sauna after the gym just because roommates were sitting in there, I’ve gone in for 10-15 minutes after a workout. And I guess I never stopped to analyze WHY. What does it do for the body?
I just found out recently that there were different types of saunas, like smoke sauna, infrared sauna, continuous-fire sauna, etc etc etc. And I wanna know WHICH of ALL these types of saunas [not just the ones I have cited, but all there is out there] is the best for the health and beauty of the skin? Oh, and how often is it recommended to use sauna? Like once a week? Plus some tips please. Please please. Thanks very much. ^_^
