Dangers of having sex in a hotel jacuzzi?
Taking my boyfriend on a weekend trip for our anniversary and wondering if I should get the room with a jacuzzi hot tub in it. Birth control is taken care of and not a concern, but I’m worried about infections (sexual or otherwise) that could occur if the hot tub hasn’t been properly cleaned and treated. Also, could the normal amount of chlorination give me a rash down there? I don’t have particularly sensitive skin, but what do you think?
If anyone has any positive or negative experiences, please share them.

As with all water related sex activities, the risk of irritation and infection are greater. As you thrust against each other, water will get inside and wash away the natural and artificial lubrication, cleaning out the good bacteria and introducing bad bacteria increasing your risk for vaginal infections and bladder infections as well.
Having sex in chlorine is almost a gaurenteed yeast infection as the chlorine will also strip the good bacteria from your vagina.
Tips and tricks – Not all hydrosex turns into an infection.
If you choose to have sex in the water, use and oil based lubricant, urinate before and after sex, do not wear thongs the day before or for a few days after, do not wear underwear at night for one or two nights after, do not douche, and do not drink too much alcohol or processed sugars. Avoiding these things will help your body have a chance to be able to ward off any possible infections.
As for a rash, chlorine may cause a rash, but you should be more concerned with the fact that microtears that occur during sex can become infected or burn from chlorine exposure.
Also make sure not to slip!

Is the hot tub always with water in it or do you fill it when you stay there? If you fill it then it lacks chlorine and probably increases the chance for infection. If it stays full you could always take a test strip with you and check the chlorine level. :)
